TRAINING PACKAGES
You and your dog’s training are custom to your goals, type of dog (pointing, retriever, versatile), dogs age, and ability. The training sessions duration ( normally half hour to an hour )and frequency are tailored to the stage and needs of you dog and/or your training budget and plans. We can set up hourly, punch cards per hour/session (the most bang for your buck) and discuss budgets and what that can look like.
Currently, I do not have boarding facilities and can set a schedule to work your pup or a way to get access to meet/or pick them up.
I recommend calling so we can discuss based on your individual circumstance. I am happy to meet and do a free trial evaluation and you and your dog can meet me as well.
The way to look at this is if you hired a personal trainer at a gym. The more times you can meet, or the more engaged you are on doing your “homework “ or work out routine between times with a trainer, the better the gains. If you met with a personal trainer once a month and never go back to the gym, the slower and less results. The more time and access to your pup, and the more you can help reenforce and add some work and time, the better the results.
I look forward to the opportunity to have you the owner be a part of the process, learn how to handle, train, and work your dog for a smooth transition, bonding, and years of productive days afield.

The first two seasons are so important to developing a good upland bird dog. Especially the first. The key is LOTS and LOTS of exposure to wild birds to hone their craft. A dog can be a protégé on training pigeons, which is great, but it is wild birds and hunting that make a decent dog great.
Not everyone has the time or ability to get their dog that amount of hunting and wild bird exposure. With limited days afield it is hard for a lot of folks to NOT shot at birds in range that the dog mishandled and should not be rewarded with a potential dead bird / retrieve tore-enforce doing it “ right”. This is where WBDT can help. I can hunt your dog on wild birds, get them the exposure, and see what is going on to come back to the training grounds and make corrections and get them where we want them.
This can be a weekend, week(s), month(s)- purely custom. Quotes available and space in the string is dependent. I would either need to be working with and familiar with your dog, or an evaluation of your dog and gauge on where and what it needs would be required before taking it on.
